On my YouTube Channel, you'll find many free videos of solo pieces, chamber music, maintenance and repair videos, and more! Many people especially enjoy my Inspirational Videos for Young Harpists Series, where I offer a few remarks and then play beginning and intermediate pieces. In selecting the pieces for that series, I seek out works that are really well composed, and satisfying both to play and listen to. Since I am presenting standout pieces, frequently I only record one or two pieces from a book or collection of music.
By contrast, here you'll find complete playlists, with a video for every single piece of music (and exercise) from several different student harp books. I've received requests for this fairly often, especially from students who are using specific materials and want to have reference videos for the entire book as part of their learning process. Sometimes students and teachers who are considering potential music also ask me about recordings of complete books. I've select a few books here that are popular among harp students and that contain good pedagogical pieces. I've recorded some individual pieces from these books in the past for my Inspirational Videos Series, but the recordings here are all new.
In all of these videos, you will hear each piece played straight through, with the camera at a clear visual angle. I've done my best to observe all markings by the composer, including any fingerings, dynamics, and musical direction. I've also picked tempos that are student friendly (although there are a wide range of tempos that could work well). I do not speak or offer explanations in these videos, but instead am providing an excellent musical reference video.
In an effort to offer as many options as possible, you can either purchase the complete playlist for each book below, or you can scroll further down the page and purchase individual videos from any of books. Prices start at $3 for individual videos and at $20 for complete playlists. Once you've purchased either a complete playlist or an individual video, you can use your login information to watch the video whenever you'd like. If you have any difficulties with purchasing or watching, please send me an email at harpinsideout@gmail.com.
