Lotus Land by Cyril Scott, trans. Jacqueline Pollauf
$5.00Price
Lotus Land is the most famous work of the prolific but little-known English composer, Cyril Scott (1879-1970). It was originally written for the piano, and here has been transcribed for the harp. The jazz influenced harmonies are rather challenging on the harp and performers generally need to add strategic muffles throughout the piece. The key has been changed from e-flat minor to c minor to take advantage of the resonance of the harp.
Written for the pedal harp; intermediate-advanced level. 6 pages.
